Leah Oster, ND
(Naturopathic Doctor)
co-founder/owner of Health & Wisdom was born in the city of
Peterborough and spent her childhood and adolescence there.

Leah
completed her post-secondary education in Rochester, NY at
Roberts Wesleyan College where she attended for 3 years. Leah
graduated Magna Cum Laude (Honours) with a Bachelor of Science Degree
in Biology.
She
went on to study at the
Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto,
one of only 6 accredited Naturopathic colleges in North America. While
in her fourth year of residency, she was selected as a primary
clinician at the Anishnabe Native Health Centre in Downtown Toronto.
Leah graduated as a Doctor of Naturopathy and has completed her
Licensing Exams for North America and the Regulatory Board
examinations for the province of Ontario
(BDDT-N). She is fully licensed to practice in regulated
states & provinces. Leah is a member of the
Canadian
Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
Leah
is currently working on obtaining her certification as a Birth Doula
through Doulas of North
America (DONA).
A
Doula is a birth assistant that helps during labour with pain
management, emotional support for both parents, and encourages
informed decisions along with helping initiate breastfeeding and
adjustment of the new family post-birth.
Leah
is Vice President of the
Georgian
Bay Ultimate Frisbee League & Treasurer of The Good Stewards
Group. She
enjoys athletics including ice hockey, ultimate frisbee, rock
climbing, volleyball, and snowboarding. Other interests of hers
include finances, gardening, painting, and anything that gets her in
the sun!

David Karl Oster, ND
(Naturopathic Doctor) co-founder/ owner of Health & Wisdom originates
from Midland, Ontario where he was born and raised.

David attended
Queen’s
University
in Kingston, Ontario. He completed the 4-year pre-medical program and
graduated (with Honours) with a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in
Life Sciences.
After a year of living in
Germany, David returned to Canada to continue his professional
pursuits and attended the four-year medical program at the
Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto.
David was also selected to be a primary clinician at the Anishnabe
Native Health Centre in Toronto during his clinical year at CCNM.
After graduating, David completed his Licensing Exams for North
America and the Regulatory Board examinations for the province of
Ontario
(BDDT-N). He is fully licensed to practice in regulated states
and provinces. David is a member of the
Canadian
Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
He has also successfully
completed two years of study and training at the Toronto School of
Healing Prayer, a branch of the international organization Christian
Healing Ministries.
David also enjoys athletics
including ice hockey, ultimate frisbee, and snowboarding. He is an
avid reader and in his spare time you can find him riding his road
bike during the warm summer and fall days.
